The Australian College of Professionals, as a
Registered Training Organisation, is scoped for all areas in the property
industry, and as such is able to offer an assessment service to professionals
working, or wishing to work, in any of the six categories of licence covered by
the Property Stock and Business Agents Act 2002. These categories
are:
- Real Estate Agent
- Business Agent
- Stock and Station Agent
- Strata Managing Agent
- On-Site Residential Property Manager
- Buyers Agent
For those persons who have been working in the
industry for some time, or have extensive experience in other related
industries, being assessed against the competencies is the most preferable
method of gaining a licence. This means that your previous learning and
experience is being assessed against the competencies for a specific licence.
Each of the licence categories have difference Units of Competence and you are
required to provide evidence of how you have either previous learning or
experience that demonstrates that you are competent in these areas. This process
is often referred to as Recognition of Prior Learning and
Recognition of Prior Experience.
As each person's past learning and experience is
different, it is essential for each individual applicant to contact the
College to discuss their specific
requirements. Once you contact the College, an information package specific to
your requirements, will be forwarded to you either in hard copy or
electronically.
